Privacy policy
Last updated October 2, 2026
This policy explains what information TAG Fleet Parts (“we”, “us”) collects on this website, why, and the choices you have. We do not sell your personal information.
Information you give us
- Quote requests: your name, company, email, phone, country, ZIP or postal code, state, notes, and the parts and vehicles you ask about.
- Customer accounts: your email, name, company, phone, country, ZIP and state, and your saved cart. Passwords are stored only in hashed form; we can’t see them.
- Messages: when you use the contact form, your name, email, phone, vehicle and message are emailed to us so we can reply.
We use this information to answer your request, prepare quotes, process orders, ship parts and provide support.
Information collected automatically
To understand which parts visitors look for, the site records anonymous usage events: pages viewed, searches typed in the site search, choices made in the part finder, which product cards are viewed or clicked, and how far pages are scrolled. With each page view we also record the website you came from, your browser’s time zone and language, the device type (phone, tablet or computer, worked out from the window width only), and any campaign tags in the link you followed (such as utm_source).
- These events are linked to a random session ID that lives only in your browser tab (session storage) and disappears when you close it.
- We do not store your IP address. A one-way hash of it, which changes every day, is kept only to block abuse.
- To tell real visitors from automated programs, we note whether the page was used with a mouse, touch screen or keyboard (not what you typed or where you clicked), your browser type (for example “Chrome on Windows”), and, only for cloud servers and search-engine crawlers, the name of the network they come from.
- Contact details you type into forms are never part of these usage events.
Cookies and browser storage
| Name | Type | Purpose |
|---|---|---|
| wordpress_logged_in_… | Cookie (session, or 14 days with “Remember me”) | Keeps you signed in to your customer account. |
| woocommerce_cart_hash, woocommerce_items_in_cart | Cookie (session) | Remember what is in your cart. |
| wp_woocommerce_session_… | Cookie (2 days) | Links your cart to your visit so your parts list is kept. |
| tp_cart_v1 | Local storage | Remembers the parts in your cart on this device. |
| tp_sid | Session storage | Random session ID for the anonymous usage events; cleared when the tab closes. |
We do not use advertising cookies or third-party tracking pixels. Fonts are loaded from Google Fonts, which receives your IP address when the fonts load, under Google’s privacy policy.
Who we share information with
We share information only as needed to run the business: our web hosting provider, carriers (name, address and phone for delivery), payment processors when you pay, and professional advisers or authorities where the law requires it. We do not sell or rent personal information.
How long we keep it
We keep quote, order and account information for as long as needed to serve you and to meet tax and accounting requirements. Anonymous usage events are kept to improve the site. You can ask us to delete your account and personal information at any time, unless we must keep it by law.
Your choices and rights
- You can view and update your account details by signing in, and you can sign out at any time.
- You can ask us for a copy of your personal information, or ask us to correct or delete it.
- Depending on where you live (for example Colorado, California or other states with privacy laws), you may have additional rights, such as to opt out of the sale of personal information (we don’t sell it) or to appeal a decision about your request.
To make a request, email our contact form. We’ll respond within 45 days.
Security
The site uses HTTPS, passwords are hashed, and access to customer information is limited to people who need it. No method of storage or transmission is completely secure, but we take reasonable steps to protect your information.
Children
This site is for businesses and adults buying vehicle parts. It is not directed at children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect their information.
Changes
If we change this policy, we’ll update the date at the top of this page.
